It’s no secret that Maui is filled with fun activities for any type of traveler – whether it be solo, romantic, adventurous, relaxed, or business – there is something for everyone. Thanks to a wide variety of activities, families who make the trip to Maui discover a wealth of options for family fun. Vacations would not be complete without the whole family and there are many activities that the entire family can enjoy together. Some of our favorite pastimes are listed below.

Explore underwater with Atlantis Submarine
Take a ride on the 48-passenger submarine and dive 100 feet below the surface and experience Maui’s marine mysteries. Adults, teens, and kids can feast their eyes on natural coral reefs, fish, and other marine life and find themselves in their very own National Geographic television special.

Discover Hawaii Sea Life with Maui Ocean Center
A visit to Maui would not be complete without visiting Maui Ocean Center located in Maalaea. Where else can you experience local culture and encounter animals that cannot be found anywhere else in the world? Participate in daily presentations such as the Tide Pool, the Open Ocean, and the Turtle Lagoon. Certain days also mean different types of activities and shows. The schedule can be found on their website. Fun for the kids, entertaining for the adults, and educational for everyone!

Meet farm-friendly rescue animals at Leilani Farm Sanctuary
A unique activity can be found at Leilani Farm Sanctuary where you can take a personal farm guided tour to meet rescued farm animals that live in sheltered harmony. According to their website, “Kiss a donkey, cuddle a chicken, feed bunnies, and guinea pigs, frolic with goats and have your hearts and lives changed forever”. By providing humane education to the public, Leilani Farm Sanctuary welcomes visitors and locals to participate in learning and caring for these animals.

Feed and milk a goat at Surfing Goat Dairy
Another unique activity will bring you to Surfing Goat Dairy located in Kula. This is where you can choose from a variety of tours ranging from feeding and milking goats, see the cheese making process, and also sample those cheeses as well.
