Annual Lahaina Banyan Tree Lighting
The Lahaina Banyan tree is the oldest and largest banyan tree in Hawaii, with a trunk and aerial root system that covers 0.66 acres. During the holidays, both locals and tourists participate in the tree lighting ceremony where they see the Banyan tree getting lit up with thousands of Christmas lights.
The event usually lasts for two days so people can enjoy decorating, holiday crafting, and face painting. Kids will also have an opportunity to take pictures with the famous Lahaina Snowman before it melts away.

Christmas 5K Run & Santa’s 1/2 Mile Keiki Dash
The Santa’s Half Mile Keiki Dash in Maui is not only a fun event to participate in, but it also benefits the Maui Food Bank. The dash is designed for children aged eight and under, while the 5K Run welcomes people of all ages who want to run for a longer distance.
The venue will be at Kaunoa Senior Center – Paia on December 18, 2022.
