Nutcracker Sweets – December 8th
As a holiday must-see, Maui Academy of Performing Arts (MAPA) students will be showcasing a family-friendly adaption of the Nutcracker. Hosted all weekend at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center, Nutcracker Sweets is a timeless classic that you won’t want to miss while in Hawaii! Tickets vary in price, so book online today!
Lei Po’o Workshop – December 15th
If you are a fan of our complimentary lei making class, the Hui Noeau will be hosting a Lei Po’o Workshop with Rose Bailey. As a hula dancer and Hawaiian arts practitioner, Rose has learned this art through family traditions and is passing down some of her knowledge to you. If you are interested in this workshop, you will have to register online but for $33/person this is a great opportunity to experience a treasured Hawaiian tradition!
Christmas 5K – December 16th
You might not be dashing through the snow but the Valley Isle Road Runners (VIRR) are hosting a Christmas 5K Run for those looking to work off all those holiday sweets! There will be a half mile keiki (children) dash that is reserved for children 8 years and under followed by a 5K run. Both races will not be timed but there will be a clocked set up and all are invited to participate in the VIRR Potluck, just bring your favorite dish!
Steven Tyler – December 27th
For those rock and roll fans visiting on the island, Steven Tyler will be performing at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center and it is an event that you probably won’t want to pass up. As the lead singer of Aerosmith and a highly decorated artist, Steven Tyler stands to be an iconic rock star and this proves to be the perfect opportunity to truly make your Hawaii vacation unforgettable!
