Learn More About Kahana Village’s Complimentary Lei Making Class
In addition to the Maui adventures and activities that you will come across during your Hawaiian vacation, there is a special treat touched with aloha that lies just steps from your oceanfront vacation rental. As a warm mahalo for booking online or through the Kahana Village office, guests are exclusively invited to sign up for a complimentary lei making class. There isn’t a better way to spend a cool afternoon in paradise than creating your very own piece of Maui to bring home with you.
Newly hosted every Saturday morning in the cabana area near the beachfront pool, you can reserve your seat by signing up between that Wednesday morning and Thursday afternoon. Each class welcomes a maximum of 30 guests, so if you are interested in attending we recommend signing up early.
As the clock nears 9:30 am, wander with your freshly brewed Kona coffee to one of the four tables and learn how to make your very own flower lei. A comforter will be laid out on the ground for the keiki to join in, making this a great family-friendly event. One family, from multiple units, all joined in and each person got to add a special touch to their dinner as they wore their very own lei. The class typically takes 1.5 to 2 hours and is taught by Maryann, who also dances hula at our weekly Mai Tai party. And if time permits, you might even get a chance to learn the more traditional ti leaf lei!
Here at Kahana Village, we are constantly trying to find new ways to make your experience in West Maui unlike any other. Our weekly lei making class is still fairly new but we have been getting great feedback and it has become widely popular! If you are planning a Maui vacation and want to reserve a spot ahead of time, get in touch.
